"Rule # 32 Money Does Grow on Trees."



Old adages are often founded in myth, this one is firmly planted in fact. If your parents told you “Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees”, they were not talking about a successful salesperson’s career. Successful salespeople have long known the value of building a referral tree. In fact, many organizations’s organic growth can be almost completely attributed to building a successful referral program.

Money does grow on trees, those well planted, carefully maintained referral trees. Sales Concepts has individual referral trees that have in excess of 1,000 braches growing off of them. How do you leverage this concept? Start by consistently tracking the source of all of your business. Analyze your database, if a client has given you one referral the chances are very good they have more for you. When you get referrals make sure you reward and keep the referral source in the loop about progress. Always remember to talk about referrals with both new and existing customers. Give plenty of referrals to others.
