"Sandler Insight # 7, No One Can Enter Your Castle Without Your Permission"

"Sandler Insight # 7, No One Can Enter Your Castle Without Your Permission"

What does this statement mean to you? What was kept in the castle in medieval times? Treasure, riches of the kingdom, food, probably everything that was sacred and vital to the survival of the kingdom…

What do you keep in your metaphoric castle? What is sacred and vital to your survival, or even your success?

Self Esteem, Beliefs, Core Values, Morality, Feelings, Emotions, these are some of the treasures each of us have complete control over. Yet often times we allow outsiders to invade our castle and effect how we feel about ourselves and those important treasures.

Successful salespeople have learned how to separate their “treasures” from the day to day interaction with others. They filter out the messages that do not coincide with their castle’s belief system, and keep others from affecting their treasures. This discipline not only assist us in sales, it would also help in all areas of our lives.

Affirmations, goals, spirituality, and exercise are all good examples of tools to keep yourself in control of all the contents of your castle. Try to remember “No One Can Enter Your Castle Without Your Permission”, or if you need help call Sales Concepts at 440-575-7000.

P.S. Sales Concepts will be hosting a Networking After-Hours at Five Seasons Country Club in Westlake on Tuesday September 5th. Call for details or check the website, http://www.salesconceptsinc.com/schedule.aspx for this and other upcoming events.
