"Leverage Your Network"

How successfully do you leverage your network? Have you fully leveraged your customer base? Are you selling all of your products or services to every current client? Beyond that, have your customers introduced you to everyone they know within their organization or outside of it?

In your personal life have you taken advantage of all the people you know? Think about the number of “networks” each of us really has; professional organizations, social circles, neighborhoods, kid’s schools, clubs and other organizations, even where we dine or shop.

We are not suggesting you give every person you meet or know a business card. It is not about asking everyone for business, just for help or leverage. Have you communicated what a good prospect is for your company to all these networks? When attempting to get an “in” at a certain company do you spread the word within your networks looking for connections? If every actor is only six degrees from Kevin Bacon, then every prospect company is well within our expanded networks.
